Recession Coverage Tooth #31

A 30 year old male came into the clinic 3 years ago. Referred to me by his dentist to treat the recession in lower front tooth 31.  He complained he can not brush because of sensitivity and pain and was concerned about loosing his tooth.

This case is “Miller class 3” implying the results won’t be 100%…  I clarified this to the patient.

Other options for treatment existed ( extraction and implant) but in this case recession coverage is the best one since the original tooth can be kept for longer.

The patient was treated with lateral tunnel technique with connective tissue graft from the palate and cross linked Hyaluronic Acid to facilitate the healing.

The result was great gaining approximately 90% coverage. The patient had no more sensitivity and he can brush his gums and tooth again without pain.
