Making a Perfect Smile-Line Through Recession Coverage
A 54 year old patient was referred to me by her dentist after complaining that when she smiles she feels her smile-line is ugly. She was in an executive customer facing role and this was affecting her self-esteem in front of the camera and people.
In the clinical examination teeth 12, 13, 22 & 23 showed buccal recession up to 7 mm.
The recommendation was to proceed with recession coverage with connective tissue graft from the palate.
The patient went through recession coverage with connective tissue graft. Hyaluronic Acid was added to the recession coverage of 12 & 13. Emdogain was added to the recession coverage of 22 & 23.
